"Entry of Merchandise" Document for the Bark Globe

Large printed document, partially filled in manuscript; 10 1/4 x 16 1/2; illustrated with an engraved vignette in the upper left corner; a few small nicks to edges and a small chip to one corner; thin, unobtrusive piece of tape to verso; overall in about very good condition.The document, filled by the Master of the Brig Globe John Deveraux for the District and Port of Philadelphia, declared the importation of sugar from Pernambuco, Brazil. It listed the weight and number of bags of sugar brought in, the value per cent, and the total amounts per invoice.
