Two (2) menus for the Canadian Camp Annual Dinners Hotel Astor, New York, 1915 and 1920
The first is for four (4) pages and a cover. The front cover depicts an ornate fall scene with Native American chief interacting with a soldier with a tepee in the background. It is for the Thirteenth Anniversary in 1915. The first page lists the Dinner Committee and the Reception Committee. This is followed by the menu page, whimsically written with references to Gilbert Grosvenor and Buffalo Jones and others in the food titles. The next page is a list
of twelve (12) speakers. The final page includes the guest of honor, the distinguished guest and toastmasters. Measures 9" x 7". String tie binding; deckled edge. The second is a six (6) pages including cover. The front cover depicts an image from a photograph of Hon. Stephen T. Mather and a vignette of Roosevelt Park, California. Illustrations of woodland creatures, pine cones, etc. It is for the Eighteenth Anniversary in 1920. Illustrated by Operti. NY. The menu has a similar format to the 1915 menu with the addition of an Advisory Board. Measures 8" x 6". Front cover partially detached. Reinforced with archival tape.
