First edition; 12 x 9; pp. [6]; off-white glossy stock, illustrated with photographs and drawings; a few small nicks to edges and tips of spine; light age-toning and spotting to margins; overall in very good condition.By 1909, members of the Afifi Shrine Center in Tacoma living in Seattle had reached 487 and thus the Nile Shrine Center was chartered. That same year it would be "the first temple to carry the message of the Shrine to the land of the Midnight Sun" - undertaking a 5800-mile, round-trip pilgrimage to Nome, Alaska. Beginning in 1930, the Shrine held an ice carnival, the 7th of which was advertised in the current program. It listed the dances, music performances, and skating competitions and also advertised various local businesses.
