Boston: Louis Prang, 1896. Chromolithograph calendar printed by L. Prang & Co. for 1896. It was issued under the auspices of the New York City Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Coated stock die-cut in the shape of a shields, each presenting one calendar month accompanied by a chromolithograph depiction of the seal of one of the thirteen original states. The states represents the states in the order they ratified the Constitution, beginning with Delaware. Each leaf depicts the Great Seal of the United Sates. Includes twelve calendar months and a final leaf that indicates it was designed at the New York School of Applied Design for Women by Jeanette Van Salisbury. The reverse includes a table of the Revolutionary War patriotic holidays--each being indicated in red on the monthly calendars. Includes Battle of Cowpens,Fort Moultrie, Battle of King's Mountain, Surrender of Lord Cornwallis, the Battle of Trenton and many others. Lacking cover page - twelve calendar pages and table of patriotic holidays. Measures 10" x 8 1/2
