Paris, 1930. unbound. 2 pages (front and back), 10.5 x 8.25, October 25, 1930, Paris, not translated, but written to a fellow music enthusiast whom he invites to his studio for an impromptu session, attended by other musicians, at which he will play The Tympanon Royal. Natural folds; small imperfection at the upper left corner, caused by a piece of tape that has been removed. Very good(-) condition. Russian composer and musician who was the sole exponent of "The Tympanon Royal," an instrument originally built for Louis XIV of France in 1705. The instrument has been described as "sort of a piano coupled with a harp."
