n.p: Pacific Whaling Company, n.d. (circa 1930). 15 pp. b/w halftone ills.

Public relations pamphlet for an outfit calling itself the Pacific Whaling Company. In fact this was a promotional for a stuffed whale exhibit. The centerfold is an illustration of Capt. Lew Nichols (pictured chomping his cigar on page 1) killing a sixty-eight ton “Blue Fin-Back.” Whatever species it actually was, Nichols stuffed it and exhibited it in Chicago, where “over half a million people availed themselves of the opportunity of seeing this giant sea monster in the flesh.” A good copy of a scarce whale show promotional. Bound in original pink wrappers.
