Hornby's library contained illustrated books, books on art, collections of prints, and books of artistic interest: e.g. many books illustrated by Cruikshank, a complete set of Kelmscott Press books, a number of Bewick items, a collection of 18th-century French illustrated books, bindings by Fazakerley, Payne, Riviere, Zaehnsdorf et al., etc. etc. Entries, occasionally annotated, for about 8,000 volumes.
