Koln: Walther König, 2012. Hardcover. NF. Bw photographic boards with blue image; white lettering. 80 pp. full of color and bw images. Text in German and English. Includes a foreword, essays, and a professional chronology. Catalogue from the exhibition of January to April 2012 at MAK, Koln. Wasa Marjanov works as a crossover between sculpture, architecture, theater, literature, music, photography and video. His "total works of art" unite applied and autonomous art and play with our thinking habits. His architectural sculptures are reminiscent of architectural models, but the photographs presented to them show that they are not realizable. He also displays small sculptures, which cite and parody the formal language of world-renowned architects, such as appetite cups on plates. Along with the architectural sculptures, the "theater boxes" are also shown: foldable boxes containing both the stage and the auditorium. Consistently, the "theater boxes" are accompanied by commentary photographs.
