Catalogue 91 - Modern Music: 20th Century Part II 269 items featuring the works of interesting and influential composers active mainly from the second half of the 20th century to date. Including autograph manuscripts, first & early editions, books, and iconography.
Books About Music Nearly 1000 scholarly books relating to music including biographies & critical studies of composers & musicians, music history & criticism, musical instruments, opera & dance, reference works, bibliographies, catalogues, &c.
Catalogue 90 - Modern Music: 20th Century Part I Contains 291 items featuring works by composers who were active mainly in the first half of the 20th century and whose works represented "modern" concepts.

This catalogue draws attention to interesting aspects of contemporary music publishing as well as the important relationship of musical composition to the visual arts. In some cases, print runs of music of this era were surprisingly small, resulting in the comparative scarcity of some of these editions.
New Acquisitions Autumn 2020 A selection of 22 recently acquired books, autograph manuscripts, musical scores, and letters.
Catalogue 89 - Summer Potpourri Contains 194 items and includes important autograph letters of Bellini to Count Apponyi in Paris discussing the composer’s constant work on his opera I Puritani; Berlioz to a conductor at the Paris Opéra regarding his Les Troyens; Gounod to the famous opera singer Adelina Patti praising her performance as Juliette in his Romeo and Juliette; Verdi to his librettist Francesco Piave regarding his opera Jérusalem; and Wagner discussing his early opera Rienzi as well as his proposed biography of Beethoven.

Opera performers are represented by letters and photographs of Caruso, Chaliapin, Jean de Reske, Gilbert Duprez, Adelina Patti, Marcella Sembrich, Rosine Stoltz, and two collections of original and vintage photographs of singers from the Golden Age of opera.

Musical first editions include works by Chopin, Mendelssohn, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, and Robert Schumann.

The catalogue also contains a wide variety of original fine engravings and etchings of composers and musicians from the 17th through the 20th centuries. There is, in addition, a smattering of books about music and musicians.
Beethoven: A Celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Composer’s Birth Celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth in 1770. It contains 113 items devoted exclusively to the composer, including first and early editions, a number of prints, 19th century books, and ephemera including early programs and playbills, all illustrated.



A few highlights include first editions of the iconic 5th Symphony and Beethoven's major work for the stage, the ballet Prometheus; the first edition, first issue of Op. 127, one of the famous late string quartets; and an original engraved copperplate for a striking 20th century Jugendstil image by the Austrian graphic artist Alois Kolb, together with a copy of the original print.
