Once based primarily on the compilations created by Austrian scholar and artist Johann Adam Bernhard Ritter von Bartsch (1757-1821) in his 21-volume "Le Peintre Graveur." This volume addresses the work of Italian engraver Giulio Bonasone (1498-1574) -- as continued from the previous volume -- as well as Master of the Die (1512-1570) and French engraver Nicolas Beatrizet (1507-1565), who worked in Rome.
