Original quarto album, black simulated straight grain morocco lettered in gilt on the spine & upper cover containing 26 light card leaves of which 25 provide ephemera related to the excursion, approximately 78 items in total, corner mounted, laid-in, or inserted mostly recto only.
Binding lightly rubbed, gilt dull, contents with occasional minor wear but generally very good.
A journey of some 4000 miles, the S.S. Transylvania departed Pier 56 in New York on August 19, 1934 en route to Boston, then Quebec, and on to Hamilton, Bermuda. The return to Boston commenced on September 1.

Professional montage photographs issued by National Tours;
Annotated amateur snapshots;
2 partially printed leaves, 4 pages, completed in manuscript providing data related to sea & weather conditions, & postitions at noon;
