Based on a series of articles written by FBI officer Leon G. Turrou, recounting his investigation of spy rings in the US. The first explicitly anti-Nazi film produced by a major American studio, released four months before the start of World War II, and featuring a large cast of German actors, including many who had emigrated from their country after the rise of Adolf Hitler.
Set in Germany.
