The patent for the device was granted in Dec. 1885 (Patent #332148). The patent holders were E Goldsmith and E Reizenstein. The description given for it was: "Device for laying off geometric figures." There may have been two versions manufactured; the more substantial being the heavy gauge, stamped, metal device offered here. (Inventory #: 23031)
