Margot Tennant (1864 - 1945) married H. H. Asquith in 1894. Asquith was British Prime Minister from 1908 to 1916, and was a legendary socialite. She also penned several books, including memoirs. We believe her friend, Mary Morison, later became a translator and published author. 8vo. 17.5 by 11.5 cm. x, 299 pp. Bookplate of Viscount Birkenhead. Charming miscellany from Stevenson, who proves he could write engagingly about just about anything. Light foxing on endpapers. Otherwise, book (truncated) is Fine. Clamshell box with raised bands and skiver spine labels is attractive but does have issues -- some blistering, fraying of cloth at edges, etc. Still structurally sound, and built with real integrity.
