Included are three black and white silver gelatin photographs, each measuring 10" x 8". Women in Revolt is a 1971 satirical film produced by Andy Warhol and directed by Paul Morrisey, starring Warhol's factory muses, and trans actors,Jackie Curtis, Candy Darling, and Holly Woodlawn. The film is a satyrical portrayal of the Women's Liberation Movement, but also a display of the traumas, ordinary issues, and trials faced by women of both cisgender and transgender identities. It examines the "age old narrative of women's demise (truncated) in the pursuit of... liberation -- through sex, glamour, money, and sin", through artistic mediums like fashion. Two photographs feature Candy Darling---in one image, she sits sports a bold lip and dark eye makeup as she ponders in the distance, whilst sitting on a leaher couch. In another photograph, she wears a posh pearl necklace. In the final photograph, Holly Woodlawn and Martin Cove lay on a couch, Woodlawn wearing a long black dress.
