(B&W photographs) INSCRIBED to a professional friend and SIGNED by Alan Young ("Wilbur" himself) on the half-title page. Not really a narrative production history of the "Mister Ed" TV show, but more of an encyclopedic compendium of interviews, facts and factoids, trivia quizzes, quotes, cartoons, credits and synopses for all 143 episodes, a blueprint of Ed's barn (in case you want to build your very own replica, I guess), and more more more -- really, far more than any sane person ought to want (truncated) to know about a TV show that I'm pretty sure I watched every single episode of as a child. (Which, come to think of it, might therefore have been the first place I ever saw Mae West, who guest-starred in the episode of March 22, 1964. Yikes.) Alan Young wrote his own horsey memoir, "Mister Ed and Me," a few years later, and updated it in 2007, and signed copies of those are fairly common -- not so this earlier book.
