Signed by Salkey on the title page, and inscribed by him to Marquez on the preceding page: "For Roberto / My brother and fellow mountain-climber / with love / Andrew." External wear, some vertical creases to the spine, and subtle tanning to the text edges; Very Good.

The Jamaican-Panamanian author's travel narrative of a month (truncated) spent in Havana, Cuba at an International Congress and a week touring the provinces. An interesting portrayal of post-Revolutionary Cuba through the eyes of a West Indian visitor, and a warm inscription to Marquez, who would go on to be the founder and editor of the journal Caliban: A Journal of New World Thought and Writing. 85069.
