The Auxiliary's purpose - to raise funds to purchase equipment and to hospitalize and furnish medicines for needy babies and children of Los Angeles County, regardless of color or creed. This book was published in hopes of funding the building of a new hospital. A huge array of recipes including Foreign Dishes (French, English, Scotch, Swedish, Mexican, Spanish, Italian, Russian, German, and Chinese). Chapter entitled "I Made it up Myself" includes Fresh Cocoanut Ice Cream, "Jewel" Cocktail (Whiskey), Ginger-Jam Cake, and many more.
