Starring director Paul Newman's wife Joanne Woodward and one of their real-life daughters, Nell Potts, as Beatrice and Matilda, respectively. Winner of Best Actress at Cannes for Woodward.

Shot on location in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Yellow titled wrappers. Title page present, dated March 14, 1972, noted as Rehearsal Draft, with credit for screenwriter Alvin Sargent. 110 leaves, with last page of text numbered 109. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages Good, wrapper Good, with dampstaining affecting the last 50 leaves and rear wrapper, bound with two gold brads.
