The present miscellaneous work includes the author's thoughts on Greek and Roman writers and on numismatics. The writer e.g. emends Asconius Pedianus, Gellius, Hesychius, Isaeus, Plato and Sophocles; defends Petronius and explicates Scipio and euphorion; discusses several Roman republican coins.
