A treatise on the carving of meats, proper creation of menus, and manners at table, with much of the contents drawn from the author's famous Almanach des Gourmands. Grimod was the first restaurant reviewer and one of the great French gastronomes. In quarter red calf, with marbled boards, and black and gilt-decorated spine.
