The second work by the famed cookery educator who built an empire selling her students and other interested cooks a wide range of cooking equipment from utensils to ice boxes and ranges, and ingredients including cooking wines and spirits, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce. Her earlier Book of Ices [1885], was also a great success, going through many printings. Some slight edgewear to gilt-titled green cloth, otherwise very good. Previous owner's name and date, "1893" to title page. [Bitting, page 310; Cagle 856 (later edition); Driver, Bibliography of Cookery Books Published in England 1875-1914, 687.5].
