Burbank, CA: National Broadcasting Company [NBC], 1967. Two Draft scripts for "The Barren Ground," the 1967 episode of "The Virginian" television show. Loosely based on the 1902 novel by Owen Wister.
Television's first 90-minute western series, and one of the longest running western shows in history, having aired from 1962 to 1971 for a total of 249 episodes. The series revolved around the foreman of the Shiloh Ranch, a tough man known only as "The Virginian" (James Drury). Set in Medicine Bow, Wyoming.
