This catalog is focused on Roman Catholicism and can generally be divided into three sections: the first documents the late 19th/early 20th century animus against Catholicism by the Ku Klux Klan, Protestants, nativists, ex-Catholics and others who believed that a Papal conspiracy was underway to subjugate Protestant Americans. The second section focuses on the anti-Semitic and anti-Communist tendencies within Catholicism based on the belief that Jews and Communists were conspiring to eradicate Catholicism. And the third section chronicles some of the Traditionalist Catholic groups that emerged after Vatican II and their pursuit of a less modern Catholicism.
