Civil cases involving issuance of summonses, property attachments for debt, defaults on promissory notes, unpaid amounts for goods received and labor performed, etc. Many of the cases involved small amounts, only a few dollars, that, however was a time when a dollar actually bought something. Small stain at top and some separation where folded in middle. Archivally framed. Not examined outside the frame. Gragg and Taggart where both from Peterborough, NH. Gragg, along with others, in June of 1776 signed a document saying he would take up arms to fight in the American Revolution.

Durham: George Walker, 1759. 47 pp. Very good in later binding. One copy located at Harvard. Likely printed circa 1800. Aram was a teacher and convinced a friend with an inheritance to purchase luxury goods on credit. Aram then killed the man and stole the goods. A body was found some years later in a cave and evidence pointed to Aram and he was convicted and hung.
