1910. Sewn binding. Cream cards, embossed and illustrated, with red ribbon. Near fine. 11.5 x 8.5 cm. Folding menu. "Dinner to his honor Yukio Ozaki, Mayor of Tokio and Madame Ozaki, given by, The Japan Society of New York, on Tuesday the eighteenth of October, One thousand nine hundred and ten, Hotel Astor." Yukio Ozaki accompanied Prince Iyesato Tokugawa on this trip in 1910. During this visit, the Japanese delegation gifted cherry blossom trees to the City of Washington, D.C. - these and others that were gifted by the Japan are part of the annual display of blooming cherry blossoms that can be seen in the West Potomac Park every spring. Very light foxing to covers, interior clean and crisp.
