Four page letter from Kate dated Boston, June 2nd, 1872, to Nell. Good condition. Kate writes: "I have got my black skirt down, waists, too, and it looks very nice. Also, my Dolly Varden. I think it's the prettiest one I've seen." The Dolly Varden was an outfit fashionable at this time. It was named for a character in Dicken's Barnaby Rudge. Good with the usual folds.

Lynch had lost his original subscribers receipt given to him Feb. 4, 1871. He now acknowledges that he has received the two prints: Bunker Hill and Attack of Quebec for payment of $14.00 and promises to guarantee him against any demands.

A large number of the cases were about debts of under $100.00 dollars, other cases include drunkenness, gambling, missing pig rings, throwing stones in a public way and obtaining goats under false pretenses.
