I'm very excited about this catalog! There are so many cool things that just happened to come my way over the past year. A nice group of ABC books, old and newer, in English and other languages, a few that I've never seen anywhere else. A scarce Cecil Aldin title that I've never seen in a dust jacket. A true first edition of Margaret Wise Brown's Bumble Bugs and Elephants plus The Streamlined Pig, signed by the illustrator, Kurt Wiese. A first edition of William Pene du Bois' rarest book, Elisabeth the Cow Ghost. A signed copy of Jessie M King's Little White Town of Never-Weary. A fabulous archive of original art and illuminated calligraphy by Elizabeth MacKinstry--not to be missed! Lastly, a copy of Virginia Sterrett's Arabian Nights in the original box.
In reality, I would love to wait to release my holiday catalog until after Halloween, but I'm bowing to the whims of commerce at large and getting it out there well in advance. Inside, I hope you will find something that amuses and delights, or possibly astounds and excites. At the very least, something to fill that empty spot on your shelf.

A few highlights include the rare ABC, "Rummical Rhymes" from 1864. Two unused Cecil Aldin paint books. A signed limited edition of Walter de la Mare's "Crossings: A Fairy Play." Dorothy Lathrop's "Lost Merry-Go-Round" in dust jacket. Lois Lenski's Newbery Award winner, "Strawberry Girl." Lothar Meggendorfer's "Look and Laugh" and much more, including other Caldecott & Newbery Award & Honor books, illustrated books, early American imprints, etc...
I meant to get a winter catalog out the door, but then March rolled around and it was too late. Then I tried for a Spring catalog, but May snuck up on me. So, here we are in early June and I finally put a list together. Lathrop's Newbery Honor book, THE FAIRY CIRCUS in dust jacket!; a fabulous French book by O'Galop (pseud of Marius Rossillon) who created the Michelin man, the book is titled LE DIRIGEABLE CAGE-A-MOUCHES NUMERO UN; and a rare WWII era book written and illustrated by the children of unoccupied France, LE MERVEILLEUX VOYAGE DE AL GOUTTE DE VITAMINE.

My holiday catalog is filled with mostly recent arrivals, starting with a nice selection of alphabet books including a nice copy of a Mickey Mouse ABC. I was thrilled to find an exceptionally nice copy of Evelyn Stuart Hardy's iteration of Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales, plus the slip cased, limited edition of the Holiday House Thumbelina and Tom Thumb. A book that brought great amusement was Joseph Green Francis' Book of Cheerful Cats. I stumbled upon a biology notebook from 1950 that was created by a local woman when she was a senior in high school. Her name was Anna Ginty (married name Conroy) and she took detailed notes, added diagrams and anatomical drawings...it's a little different than what I usually look for but it was fascinating to me, so I had to pick it up. I am thrilled (and a little reluctant, because I love it) to offer a copy of Picture for Harold's Room by Crockett Johnson which is also inscribed by him to a fellow children's book creator, Elizabeth Ring (Hennefrund). A book I haven't seen in over a decade crossed my threshold. Twice!: Now Open the Box by Dorothy Kunhardt. As a final mention: a dear little Christmas-themed book made it into the catalog, Santa Claus Bears by Dorothy Sherrill, it's small, precious and in superb condition. Enjoy!
I am very happy to be able to issue a catalog in these strange times. Even though I haven't been able to go out hunting for books, I've found that the books still find their way to me. So, here we go! This is a shorter catalog than normal with just over 100 books including some lovely alphabet books, a number of Caldecott Award and Honor titles, including The Undefeated which also received a Newbery Honor. Of special note is a boxed edition of Johnny Gruelle's Magical Land of Noom; a first edition of Beatrix Potter's Ginger & Pickles and an unused Painting & Drawing Book with the Tale of Peter Rabbit. I am happy to offer a lovely first edition of the groundbreaking, Stonewall Award Winning, Julian is a Mermaid by Jessica Love; it's a gorgeous book. I am also offering a number of relatively recent titles culled from my personal collection because I found a few duplicates and also, I need to make room!

Two early British books made their way to us from York, published by Kendrew in the early 1800s, Cinderilla [sic] and Little Tom Tucker.
