These items are still missing as of 6/14/2019. The following books have gone missing from a locked display case at the Cortez Street Emporium, in Prescott, Arizona, sometime between May 9th and May 25th: MacDonald, Ross (Kenneth Millar). The Blue Hammer (Author's Proof Copy, Annotated). New York; Alfred A. Knopf, 1976. First edition, octavo; an uncorrected proof copy in yellow printed wrappers. The author's own copy with more than 60 holograph corrections to the text, in pencil. Page references for all of these corrections are given in pencil on the front wrapper, by MacDonald. Laid in are two pages of typed corrections to the text, signed "B" with quirky little remarks to MacDonald, prepared by fellow mystery writer William Campbell Gault, who is the dedicatee of the book and here a proof reader. A fine copy housed in a custom leather-backed clamshell box. Faulkner, William. Idyll in the Desert. New York; Random House, 1931. A member reports a blue hard shell bag went missing while being palletized at JFK airport following the NYIABF on April 25th/26th. A parcel sent by FedEx from the UK to a US customer in Chesapeake Beach in Maryland last week, has allegedly been stolen from the front porch on Tuesday March 23rd before they could retrieve the package. The loss has been reported to FedEx, and the customer has made a report to local police. The missing books are: Marie Stopes, Wise Parenthood, London, 1918. First edition in original grey paper backed boards, with printed paper label lettered in red on upper cover, some light cockling to the covers, but otherwise a very good copy. Theodor Van de Velde. Sex Efficiency through exercises. London, William Heinemann, 1933. Original blue publisher's cloth. Contains a series of 12 'cinematographic' films on 480 flicker cards. Lost or stolen manuscript in Spanish ca. 1760, detailing autopsies on English cadavers (performed by a Spanish colonial doctor) from the wars in the Caribbean. This manuscript is uncollated, approximately 50-100 pps. The title page is calligraphic, and includes a coat-of-arms (of the doctor) decorated with gold leaf. Two of the decorated title page corners are lacking. One is present but separated, the other is lacking. The manuscript is bound in vellum. Place: Veracruz, Mexico. Author unknown.
